South Windsor, CT, May 23, 2017 - Oxford Performance Materials, Inc. (OPM), a leader in advanced materials science and high performance additive manufacturing (HPAM™), today announced that its Chief Technology Officer, Tony DeCarmine, will participate on a panel discussion at the annual Society for the Advancement of Material and Process Engineering (SAMPE) Seattle 2017 Conference.
The panel, titled “Additive Manufacturing of Composite Structures,” will review composite additive manufacturing methods with continuous and chopped fiber reinforcements. Panelists will review current, state of the art, and future enhancements, as well as research on the topic. Attendees will learn what can be done today and in the future to create composite structures in an automated way. Anyone involved with the design, analysis, or manufacture of composite structures should attend with questions for the panel.
The panel will take place on Wednesday, May 24th from 9:00 AM PST – 11:00 AM PST at the Washington State Convention Center, Level-3 – Tahoma-3.
DeCarmine will provide insight into how OPM’s OXFAB® technology is ideally suited for highly demanding end-market aerospace, satellite and defense applications where functional complexity and weight reduction can have a substantial and positive impact on performance, while also yielding cost and energy savings.
